From the 10. to 18. of March, the pupils in Latvia had spring break.
For me, school holiday means that we work earlier and that the daycenter is full of kids who want to enjoy the holidays.
So, it is action time!
We had a very cool and interesting programm for the holiday week.
On Monday, we went to the cinema to watch a movie about Latvia's history, which was especially for me super interesting and a learning exercise because the movie was in Latvian.
On Tuesday, we went to an exhibition to the "VEF cultural palace", which is a place for cultural events like concerts.
Beside the fact that it was very nice to visit this place, it was a good opportunity to take pictures!
Wednesday was as normal as possible during the holidays.
Two young men came to the daycenter to talk with the teenagers about topics like love and friendship.
On Thursday we made the third exhibition of the week. This time, we went to the fire station. The firefighters showed us the place and explained the life as a firefighter. The kids had the opportunity to sit in the fire truck and wear the helmet and feel like a firefighter. :-)
On Friday, the last working day during spring break, we went to a playground near by. I organized some sport games for the kids, which was so nice that we decided to make it on a regular base.
All in all, I enjoyed that week very much. School holidays are more stressful but I enjoy all the acitivities and the action a lot and I already look forward to the summer holidays!
